Dear H.K. Edgerton,

My name is Linda and I work in Development for Left/Right, an award-winning television production company based in NYC. We produce a wide range of programming for a variety of networks including
The Circus for Showtime, Generation X on National Geographic and Roanoke for History Channel, among others. I am writing to you now because we are interested in featuring Black Southern Heritage
supporters in a compelling new documentary project we are developing that will highlight people with unique perspectives from different groups, professions, and communities in America.

This potential documentary series is an opportunity for supporters to offer insight into their community in an unbiased and thought-provoking manner. We are looking for black Southern Heritage
supporters who are interested in sharing their story and experiences.

I am sure you have been approved previously. I would very much appreciate your insight on how to best connect with fellow supporters. I would love to schedule a time this week to discuss this
project with you or a member of your leadership. Additionally, if you’re interesting in participating yourself I would be happy to discuss this opportunity further.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Linda Latortue

Hi HK!

It was great speaking with you today! Per our conversation, I would love to find time to schedule a video interview with you via Skype or FaceTime next week. This is for internal purpose to get
a sense your story, personality and perspective.

I’m pasting our production announcement below with easily shareable information on the project and how interested people can apply. We would appreciate your help spreading the word about this
opportunity to any and all members of your organization, community as well as the individuals we discussed. We would prefer to speak to as many people as possible to get a diverse cross-section of
perspectives, and we may want to feature more than one person.

If there are any specific people you recommend they are welcome to email me or give me a call to discuss.

Thank you again for you time & I look forward to speaking with you again!

Linda
