Six months ago, I agreed to give the keynote speech. The young lady who would invite me began the conversation that they could not afford to pay me a $500 Honorarium as posted on my web page. I told
her that I would come if they paid my expenses: $.62 per mile X 2 (going and returning home), $100 for out of pocket expense, lodging for a night if needed, and they could choose any Honorarium, or pass
the hat. She agreed.After posting in one of my reports that I would give the keynote speech at the UDC reunion, I received a phone call that they could not afford to pay that agreement because of the lack of
participation of their membership and other expenses, and if I would accept $100 for expenses, a paid meal, and lodging paid for by one of their members. I told her that I could not afford to travel all
the way from Asheville and back on $100. And that I had never been to an event like this as the keynote speaker having to pay for my own meal, or lodging. A week later she would tell me that they had
come up with $200 at best. Because of the numerous emails and calls from the UDC membership expressing their delight, and anticipation of my coming, I have agreed to come, and look very much forward to
