Dear Ms. Lunelle,

It has been a great honor for me to deliver alongside the Honorable Attorney, and Sons of Confederate Veterans Judah P. Benjamin Camp Commander, David McCallister, a
message of commemoration of the Black Confederate soldier and his family during this month as the nation celebrates Black History Month.

Mr. McCallister and I would speak before the City Council and County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, Dade City, the Hillsborough County School Board, do a
radio interview and, last but not least, to two classes of the King High School Junior ROTC in Tampa.

I must say that I, too, along with the students at King, were spellbound as Mr. McCallister enthralled us all with his presentation on the Hunley, CSA Alabama, and
Black Confederate soldiers like Dr. Alexander Darnes, and the support that they received from those White folks who called them family.

I would continue these presentations after a journey to Fayetteville, Georgia on Saturday morning, February 12, 2017, to the citizens who gathered on the courthouse
grounds there.

I will travel to Defuniak, Florida on Monday, February 13, 2017, and deliver my retired flag to the Honorable Ms. Tracie Harvey on Tuesday afternoon. God bless you!

Your brother,

HK
