Subject: At Ole Miss, a Liberal Agitator’s Education – NYTimes.com
To: siegels1 (siegels1@mindspring.com)Dear Ms. Lunelle,
I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Coon. And I find it interesting that the New York Times would try and find some way to make him into some kind of hero for Black people.
He truly reminds me of Thaddeus Stephens and Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center.Coon promised that he would return to where I stood with the Colors posted outside the Student Union at Ole Miss, and finish the conversation that I was having with him
about his moments of sacrilege. All that I could gather from my brief moments with him was a young man who found an opportunity for self aggrandizement, spreading the disease of White folk guilt,
tainted by warped facts that has led to the moments which has pushed asunder the love that truly existed between Black folks and White folks in this great State, and
across the South before the Carpetbaggers and scalawags turned it into hate with their continuation of the total war policies formed by Lincoln, and carried out to
perfection by Grant, Sherman and their henchmen, using Black folks as the weapon of choice against their Southern White family to do so.The great irony is the rather large contingent of Black folks who championed the Confederate cause in Mississippi and who, like Holt Collier, with not find their names
mentioned on the Ole Miss campus in these days of so called Black History Month. And, for certain folks like Coon, will not mention them because it does not fit his agenda
of stirring up hate and actions that lead to it.For me, Coon is closer to the anti-Christ than he is to Jesus, and is no friend to the Southern Black populous; another John Brown whose desires is for Black people
to conjure up hate, and not truly knowing why, or what led them to this moment of separation from the only man on God’s earth to ever truly care for their well being,
“the Southern White man.” The New York Times is another agent for Northern protagonists who want to occupy the South, and destroy our culture and replace it with their
own. God bless you!Your brother,
