Mr. Edgerton,

I want to Thank You for agreeing to be our guest speaker at the upcoming Texas Division Reunion June 2-4 2017.

Here is the main schedule of events

1. Friday June 2, we are holding the Division Commanders Reception at the Texas Civil War Museum from 6-8PM. There will be refreshments and finger foods catered.
Mr. Ray Richey and his wife have assembled the finest private collection of War Between the States firearms, cannon, equipment and personal items anywhere.
You and your Brother will be our guests for all events.
You and your Brother have connecting rooms at the Hotel again you are our guests.
Breakfast is free at the hotel.

2. Saturday we open the Reunion with posting of the Colors at 0830.
I am offering you a free vendors table to sell your merchandise should you choose.
The awards luncheon speaker is Al Arnold, Author of Orderly for Lee. Al is the Heroes 3rd Great Grandson.
The Menu is Southern, Ham-Potatoes-Vegetable-desert and coffee-ice tea. You and your Brother are our guest at the Lunch.
The Reunion is closed by 330 when we retire the colors and the individual Brigades hold elections. Vendors tables close at 430 so the area can be re set for the ball.
The Ball begins at 6PM. We will have a period Brass band for music and dancing after the new commanders are sworn in and then the major Division Awards are presented. The Menu is Rib Eye Steak-Baked Potato-Vegetable-Dessert-Ice Tea or Coffee
Then you speak for 20 minutes or so, then we have the dance.

3. Sunday Morning Breakfast is again on the hotel. Check out is at 11 AM

I know it is about 900 miles between Asheville NC and the hotel in Ft Worth. So I calculated it at 2000 miles round trip. I based fuel on 15 MPG since I do not know what you will be driving. That rounded up came to 134 Gallons of Gas. I estimated gas at $2.50 per gallon and rounded it up to $350.00 for fuel round trip I estimated 1 nights stay each way at $150.00 per night so $300.00 for hotels is included I estimated 3 meals a day for 4 days at $200.00 And added $150.00 for miscellaneous expenses incurred by you on the trip.

My base estimate came to $1000.00 to take care of your expenses on this trip. I will send you a pre-paid Visa or Master card, your choice. If you feel this needs to be augmented then we shall increase the funds. We want you to have a pleasurable trip. Or I can simply send you a cashier’s check. Travel arrangements will be left to you .
All we ask is you please arrive before 4PM on Friday and please depart Sunday at your convenience. And we ask you please do not speak at any Texas SCV camps during your trip.

We are grateful you have time to join us and make this SCV reunion memorable.
