I hope this finds you well. I am a photography student in London originally born and raised in Swannanoa/ Asheville and am embarking on a documentary photo project based on the South and what values we currently have and are trying to preserve and the different perspectives and way of live that coexist in Asheville. I remember seeing you outside my high school when I went to Asheville High and graduated in 2015. I was always curious to know your story and learn your perspective on what it means to have Southern pride. My intention for this project is to bring a new perspective to the South in light of the state of our current nation. Having lived in England for two years I have noticed the misconceptions outsiders have of our area. I will be in Asheville from December 24- January 11 if you are free and willing to meet and take some portraits for my project.
