Hello Mr. Edgerton, sir!

I showed your recent video in front of Silent Sam Statue in Chapel Hill to my two teenage sons. My mother worked and retired from UNC School of Journalism, where unfortunately we see immense propaganda in the media to it’s demise. I’m honored that watching and listening to you with my boys, that they actually learned a lot. You allowed me to engage a “teaching moment” with them also.

I went on to discuss another great man, Frederick Douglas. I believe you may favor him in your own character and traits, and he’d be proud of you as a teacher. His forethought, wisdom and inspiration proves theory about the perils of zero-sum thinking. And why the evils of identity politics discussion is relevant today.

I live in the RDU area of NC, I’d be honored to have lunch and talk more if you ever have plans down this way. God bless You.

Best regards,

Andrew Meade
