Daniel Walker – 11/6/2009 Wall Posting
Dear H.K., I just wanted to say that I appreciate all that you do for the cause. I’m going to college in Chattanooga, TN. I’ve been taking this Civil War history class that is extremely one sided. I’ve found some evidence that what is being taught is not the truth. I’ve tried to put out the evidence of the truth but it’s difficult to get my class mates to understand. I’m not sure what to do about it and I’m tired to hearing lies that our Government wants us learn. According to my class the Union army had Black soldiers and not the Confederate. My own research as found that as many as 90,000 Blacks free and slave volunteered to the Confederate Army but I don’t hear that in class. I’m not sure what to do about it. Any advice you have for me will be much appreciated.
