Mr Edgerton, thank you for allowing me to be a contact of yours here. I have been reading about you for years. I have cited your pride in your ancestor to explain things to my fellow officers that did not understand my involvement and interest in my Confederate legacy. It has helped me to explain that the war was more than about slavery. But, in my humble opinion, is why we lost. God’s punishment fot not setting things right prior to the war.
You are a guiding light and I am proud to have a chance to talk with you here. I hope someday we can meet.
