Pamela Coe – 3/2/2010 Wall Posting
I was at Gettysburg one weekend with my family and met with a group of Boy Scouts from Long Island, NY. Big troop but only a Black Scouts. He came over to talk to us because as reenactors we were in CW garb. He was a reenactor as well, in a CSA unit. He said “you would never catch me in blue, my ancestor never wore it!” I was really proud to see a young man know not only his national but his personal history so well. I don’t remember the unit, but geez that kid had the history down well!!
