This was a pretty good blog by Old Reb. Although I would argue that the strongly encouraged and even forced assimilation of Blacks into Southern/Western European culture (which was assisted by Jim Crow) was more responsible for the previous success of Grier Heights than the absence of the “Great Society”. The problem with the whole argument that Blacks are being held down by liberals who make them dependent on government is that non-Blacks are equally eligible for the same dependence. So what is it that makes Blacks far more susceptible to such dependence? There has to be more to it. The evidence that the disappearance of the welfare state would somehow result in the emergence of prosperity and increased civilized order within the “Black community” is simply nonexistent.
Again, the cold hard truth is that the overwhelming majority of “African Americans” – whether in the South or otherwise – cannot be depended upon to help us establish our vision of a Free Dixie – and in fact we should expect spirited resistance to it on their part. We should count the “Black community” at large among enemies to Southern independence just as we acknowledge any other organized body hostile to our cause as anti-Southern. And if you don’t think the “Black community” is an organized body, all you have to do is look at how they vote in elections with remarkable unanimity.
The recognition of the Black community as an enemy of the South does not mean we should turn away Blacks from our ranks simply for being Black. For example, while 95% of Blacks who voted in 2008 chose Barack Obama, that leaves 5% who did not. However, such a small percentage of Blacks as a whole in no way justifies ignoring the general truths I have pointed out.
Of course, by virtue of daring to openly expose this obvious reality, I and others who agree with me will be called “racist”. But as Dr. Hill says….so what? We are for our people, the Southern people, and should not apologize or be afraid of calling out those who have declared war against the civilization of our fathers.

There is a lot more going on here than the statement made. I could as well argue that you are going to have a lot more resistance from Southern or Northern Whites than you think. In fact the greatest attacks that I have faced over the years against Southern symbols and heritage have come from the White community, and far more from the South than the North who instigated the attacks on the flag. And one of those attacks came from the suggestion of Northern Whites who control the NAACP to use that organization, and then the blame always goes to Black folks. I believe if you reach out to Black folks, you will find the same loyalty they gave to Southern Whites before, during and after the war. This statement comes very close to the charges of bigotry issued to me about the League from not Black folks, but other Whites. Look in the mirror before you start to level these kind of statements about Black folks and their loyalty or dependence on the welfare state. It is a fact that the welfare mentioned is equally shared by Whites and others, and especially corporate America. It is this kind of crap that dilutes the loyalty of Blacks to our homeland, Sounds to me like something Abraham Lincoln might have written, and just what the Northern Whites who started the action against our flag wanted Southern Whites to believe. Reconstruction modus operandi at its best, and far more successful in the 21st century than the Emancipation Proclamation had at turning Southern Whites against Southern Blacks.

I never said that there wouldn’t be plenty of resistance from Whites to Southern independence.

Nobody puts a gun to Black folks’ heads and makes them vote for more special treatment and government handouts. Either Black people have that attitude by nature or they are easily mislead by elites who “make” them think that way (which seems to be what you’re suggesting). Whichever it is, what difference does it really make? The bottom line is that since the 1960s Blacks have organized in astounding unity to destroy traditional Southern culture. They have made their bed with the progressives and there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever their marriage with the progressives is weakening.

Do you have any actual evidence to back up this belief? Please share with us. And please don’t say that you and the other very small fraction of the Black community who happens to sympathize with our cause qualifies for such evidence. The PC Southern “heritage” groups have been desperately trying to prove how anti-racist they are for over twenty years, and what are the results? Blacks are more united in their opposition to Southern values today than ever before. The numbers do not lie, my friend.

No HK, it is not a fact. Blacks – proportionately speaking – are far more likely to be on welfare than non-Blacks. Spending 10 minutes on Google will reveal this to you.

Of course we know the crusade against “bigotry”, “intolerance” and “racism” is lead by progressive Whites, but we also know that better than 90/100 Blacks cheer them along. Are you seriously going to dispute this? Where is the evidence?

“As of June 2011 there were 45,183,931 people on food stamps. Of that 35% are white or 15,814,375 white people. 22% are African American, or 9,940,264 black people. Given that there are roughly 220,000,000 white people and roughly 40,000,000 African Americans in America, that comes out to just over 7% of white people are on food stamps, and just under 25% of African Americans are on food stamps.”
This is someone’s findings from compiling Wikipedia data, which provides links to official US government statistics on food stamp participation. I did some work on this myself a few months ago, and unfortunately I didn’t save my work, but these numbers sound about right. Basically, close to 1 in 4 Blacks are on food stamps compared to 1 in 14 Whites. Another way to look at it is that a Black person is about 300% more likely to be receiving food stamp assistance than a White person. That’s hardly an “equal share” between the two groups, HK.

Hk Edgerton. I’m not disagreeing with you, but how can whites or the League reach out to southern blacks? What method would work? I know good blacks in the south, but I believe there is much division now since Obama has been elected. Do you think a very high percentage of southern blacks will not vote for Obama or any other Democrat even if we do reach out?

If you would have taken the time to read the March Across Dixie Pictorial Journal, or view any of Terry Lee Edgerton’s documentary film on my journey to the Table of Brotherhood, then just maybe you wouldn’t be so quick to jump to your Yankee conclusions about the loyalty of Southern Black folks to the South and their White Southern family.
Dr. Hill must have seen something in us, because if it had not been for him bringing us funds to sustain the Historic March that we began to Austin, Texas almost ten years ago, we would not have made it. And speaking about Blacks voting Democrat, just remember the radical party of Lincoln that pitted Black and White folks against each other, lifted their blockades of Southern waters and told the Southerners that they had better take back their government from the niggers because they didn’t know what they were doing, took the rest of their bounty, and left Black folks with only one thought; pass it on to every generation to never vote Republican again. And you would rather have a notorious South hating Mormon in the White House rather than Obama even though you know that the deterioration of the Republic and the Constitution that governed it began with Lincoln and continued under every President and the thieves in both Houses of government, no matter if they hailed from North or South of the Mason Dixon as they steal the national treasure while they enrich themselves.
And your so called welfare to Southern Blacks was a means to destroy the Black family. Handouts that chased a man from his home so that his family could survive. See the CNN report on the wealth of Blacks in America as compared to others. Every immigrant that comes to America can dream the American dream, but our children are told that their chances of leaving poverty are close to nil. We’ve got that coming because of our loyalties to the Southern White man, especially because of the role we played beside him in the War Between the States. We walk like you, we talk like you, we pray like you, we even carry your name. I keep asking you just like my grandpa did; where we gonna go Master? You know them Yankees hate us. The only man to ever care about the African people was the Southern White man, and now you are telling me with your Yankee statistics to git because you’ve come to believe what the Northern propagandist makes you believe. In the words of many a Southern Black and Southern White that has resonated on my trek: ” If the Southern Black man and Southern White man don’t come back together, our culture and country is lost. As my little brother calls it that depicts a different tale than the one you tell and believe? When I began that journey on foot twenty miles a day, six days a week to Austin, Texas soon to be ten years ago, we ran out of money in Gainesville, and it was Dr. Hill who brought funds to my little brother and I, put us up in a nice motel, fed us in a fine Southern restaurant, stuck with us until he knew that we would be safe.
