Tommy “PoP” Aaron. A dear sweet beloved friend. An inspiration. A motivator and innovator in the Heritage movement. Never had a bad word to say against anyone. A man of faith and strength, devoted both to God and Confederate heritage. My biggest regret is that I never got to stand alongside him in a battle, nor shook his hand, but the love and mutual affection between brothers was clearly present.
I met him back in the early days of the Georgia Flaggers thru the Demastus list, still hosted by another true fighter and unsung hero Chuck Demastus, back before Facebook and blogs and iPhones and such.
PoP’s blogs and various pages kept a lot of us in the know, and provided lots of intel and new information I had not previously been aware. His tireless and selfless efforts behind the scenes are just as much a testament to his drive and love as his quiet passing.
In your memory, I will go out and Flag. I believe you would want me to do this. I will miss you, PoP and I look forward to seeing you in Heaven, and at that time I will shake your hand, and give you a hug too.
