THIS WEEK IN OUR LOCAL PAPER ATTACKING THE SCV, THE SLRC AND KIRK
LYONS AS BEING PRO KKK AND BEING RACISTS. I WILL ALSO SEND YOU
A COPY OF HIS LETTER FOR YOU AND KIRK TO READ. IN HIS LETTER HE
URGED THE PEOPLE OF ALEXANDER COUNTY TO REJECT OUR OFFER TO PLACE
THE CONFEDERATE VETERAN IN OUR HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS.
HE SAID THAT WE WERE WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING. LOOK FORWARD TO

Dear Harold I had the opportunity to stand before the Taylorsville
appeal committee of the school board on this very issue. I don’t
give a great deal of stock to people like this gentleman. He simply
is another in a long line of government programmed individuals
who are more bigoted and closed minded than any they point their
fingers at. Send him to read the Morril Act, the original 13th
Amendment, 14th Amendment, research the Union Leagues and the
terror they committed throughout the South in their efforts to
force other Blacks to succumb to the Yankee forces that occupied
the South during the period of so called reconstruction, and don’t
forget to study reconstruction. I can only tell him like his apparent
mentor Martin Luther King would have ; the Negro in America has
accepted a bad check marked insufficient funds for their forced
loyalty to that man who came here from the North with his rape,
lynching, stealing, and murder; then tried to blame all the atrocities
on those bad old White folks from the South. I can only tell him
of that dream of King’s that one day that the sons of former slaves
sitting at the table of brotherhood with the sons of former slave
owners can only happen here in the South, but if he attacks the
Southern Cross, he just as well push that chair under the table.
There are underlining principals and fact about the fight for
Southern Independence which will never change in the hearts and
minds of true Southerners , no matter how hard people work to
make traitors of Black people then and now. I can tell this young
man if he is a Southerner, he better think twice about the slander
he places on the KKK . If he knows anything about history, and
I don’t believe he does; that original Klan saved those of us
from the terrors of Reconstruction, and the planned program of
dividing White and Black folks in the South. My loyalties shall
remain with my Southland, no matter the problems created by that
invader fro the misery he left behind with his pretense that he
came here to save, when the only thing he came to do was to continue
his stealing.

Please earmark any funds to me to the March Across Dixie Fund.
