First Black Commander In Chief of the Sons of Confederate Veterans
Today, February 3, 2009, I would appeal to the Black and White Edgertons and those genealogists who have been working to verify my ancestors duty in the service of the Confederate Army, to step up their effort. I do so because I have every intent to place my name on the official ballot of the Sons of Confederate Veterans for the office of Commanding Chief at their National re-union in 2010 in Anderson, South Carolina, the hometown of my dear mother.
