HC Sons of Confed Vets remember the Civil War’s fallen

Horry County’s fallen soldiers in the Civil War were remembered Saturday in Conway. The Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Litchfield Chapter of the Order of the Confederate Rose gathered in front of the Horry County Courthouse to honor those who died.

H.K. Edgerton was the keynote speaker. He passionately championed the Confederate cause and the role of Black Confederate soldiers during the Civil War, or as some refer to it, the war between the states.
