Dear Mr. Johnson,
Acting in my capacity as President of Southern Heritage 411 (see: www.southernheritage411.com), I am investigating an incident that involved a Contractor doing business with Asheville High School.
It was reported to me that an employee of ELSKO Construction Company that is in the process of making repairs to the roof of the school was approached by an employee of the school maintenance staff with a screw driver in hand demanding that the employee of ELSKO remove a Confederate Flag Vanity License Plate from his vehicle, or that his crew would have to stop their work and leave the school.
I have through another agent inquired of Mr. Buck L’Hommedieu, your Maintenance Supervisor; if indeed this incident did happen, and if this is indeed a policy of the Asheville City School Board that outside vendors who have the Southern Cross displayed on their personal property or persons are prohibited from doing business on City school property.
As of yet I have no satisfactory answer, and anxiously await your reply.
Sincerely,
HK Edgerton
President
