Conversations From The Streets
Dear Ms. Lunelle,
I am continuously amazed and gratified by the ovation that I receive from those who surround me when I post the Southern Cross on highways and overpasses of the South.
And I want you and others of our leadership to be made privy to some of the pertinent conversations and questions fielded over the past two weeks of that charge.
(1) “Mr. HK, why have Southern Republican leaders not asked President Trump to refrain coming to the South touting Lincoln as America’s greatest President? I won’t vote for him again if he continues to do so. It is too much to bear!”
(2) “Mr. Edgerton, to see the remains of our Korean War Veterans return to America with their coffins draped with the United Nations flag, and later the Stars and Stripes, and not to at least have a Sons of Confederate Veterans Honor Guard present at the ceremony headed by Pence, is once again a huge slight upon the Congressional venerated symbol that was carried by these U.S. veterans in honor during this conflict.”
And, I might add, just like it was carried by the U.S. Army 31st Infantry Dixie Division during World War II, and should not be slighted by the likes of American Legion Post #2 out of Knoxville, Tennessee for the same reasoning in attendance at their Veterans Day Parade.
How can our own people be expected to get a grasp on our true American history if leaders like yourself and the Sons of Confederate Veterans don’t step forward at opportune times like this? Soon all will be lost of our honorable and patriotic history to include the honorable stand our ancestors made for the rule of law of the Constitution made to guide us.
(3) “Mr. HK, why are Southern Blacks being prompted to turn into traitors of their Southern homeland, something that their ancestors would never?”
It saddens me today that some Black Southerners allowed them to be exploited today just like in reconstruction. That makes me want to press harder and encourage more people who look like me not to fall in the division trap. The enemy in this war is not our White family but those that hate all of us because we ARE SOUTHERN.
I want to thank all of those for their support that allows me to return to the streets to uplift the spirits of our people at a time when the momentum of Southern social and cultural genocide has peaked because of the spineless actions of far too many of those elected to represent the will of the people of our region. God bless you!
Your brother,
HK
