Silent Sam Collusion

Miss Lunelle,

It appears that the North Carolina Sons of Confederate Veterans have colluded with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to avoid the lawful Order by the North Carolina Historic Commission to return the Confederate soldiers Cenotaph, known as “Silent Sam,” to its place of prominence on the campus of the University in 90 days.

And, as we all know, the former university Chancellor, and its board of directors, defied this order, and carried their defiance even further by taking down the base of Silent Sam, which puts them in complicity with those who illegally pulled Silent Sam down, and above the law.

And, while I nor anyone knows what the actual pleadings were in the proposed lawsuit of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, it was widely presumed by those who contributed their monies to the Sons’ legal defense funds, that it would be to force the University to comply with the people of the state’s Historic Commission’s order to put the War Memorial back to its place of honor.

And, while it is now being widely circulated that the Chief Trial Counselor of the Southern Legal Resource Center supports the Son’s action, as Chairman of the Board of Advisors Emeritus, I shall ask the Board to do otherwise. I condemn this illicit deal. Furthermore, I intend to explore filing a writ of mandamus and to explore how Marcy’s law may be applied to this criminal act and others.

I put my life on the line to speak for Silent Sam in the aftermath of the Anti-fa destruction. I will continue fighting for him now.
