Fort Myers and Temple Terrace

Dear Ms. Lunelle,

Fort Myers – On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, the Honorable Attorney David McCallister, Esq., and I would make our way to downtown Ft. Myers, Florida, to the bust of the Honorable General Robert E. Lee and, later on, to the county courthouse, where Mr. McCallister’s posse that continues to grow in numbers lay awaiting our arrival.

And, no sooner than the Honorable Judge Thompson would call out Attorney McCallister’s name and case number in the courtroom, then would the posse stand and come to attention in a continued symbolic jester of support for Justice for General Lee!

The now third different attorney for “the pep,” David Howes, would interrupt Attorney McCallister by voicing an objection already voiced by the other two members of his office, “that Attorney McCallister had no standing in the case against Howes.”

Before the Honorable Judge Thompson could respond, Attorney McCallister lashed out that the attorney had no powers to make such a decision, and should avail himself of the state Constitution in the case of the Marcy’s Law, and respect for the judge and his determination.

The judge allowed Attorney McCallister to continue his brilliant dissertation that painted a grim picture against both the defense attorney and the state prosecutor in their efforts to skirt the rule of law, especially in their foot dragging efforts that left him devoid of depositions and other pertinent information that should have been provided to him in a timely manner. Another court date is scheduled for February 24, 2020.

Temple Terrace – On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, I would don the uniform of the Southern soldier and post the Southern Cross at the entrance of Temple Terrace Country Club, where the Board of Governors had reneged in a promise to apologize to the United Daughters of the Confederacy for the unwarranted false narratives put forth by a member of their staff and some member of the public at one of their chapter meetings held at the club.

What was supposed to be an act of protest soon turned into a declaration of love and support from the staff, club members and many members of the community in favor of the Daughter’s position. I truly do hope that the leadership of the club will develop a path of reconciliation. God bless you!
