Re-enactors want to fly rebel flag at the Capitol

Discussions are underway between Civil War re-enactors and state officials about whether a Confederate national flag will be allowed to fly from a flagpole at the capitol next Saturday, even if only briefly.

A Civil War re-enactors group wants to re-enact the capture of Jefferson City by union troops. Part of the re-enactment will involve pulling a Confederate flag down and raising the 34-star United States flag.
