Lexington celebrates Lee-Jackson day

People in the Lexington area celebrated Lee-Jackson day Saturday.
In the morning, the Sons of Confederate Veterans laid a wreath at the grave of General Stonewall Jackson.
The a parade marched through themed "a war between the states".
There was a memorial service at Lee Chapel.
Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson were both born near this date and both men spent their final years living in Lexington.
"For people in the confederate community, Lexington is mecca because our heroes are buried here. Lee and Jackson, two of our greatest generals, probably two of the finest christian soldiers who ever lived, lived here and are buried here" said Kirk Lyons, a Confederate Descendant.
The memorial ball wrapped up the days events.
